"The Post Office plans to close three Canterbury Post Offices is bad news for those communities", said Guy Voizey, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesman for Canterbury.
"All three Post Offices, in Northgate, Oaten Hill and St Dunstans, play an important part in their local communities.
"The Labour government seems intent on continuing the programme of Post Offices started by the Conservatives. The government has systematically withdrawn services from Post Offices over recent years, making it increasingly hard for smaller, community Post Offices to stay profitable.
This comes on top of the plan to close the main Post Office in the city centre and transfer services to WH Smith.
