Guy Voizey, parliamentary spokesman for Canterbury and Whitstable Liberal Democrats, has issued a pledge in response to the ongoing MP expenses scandal.
"Residents of Canterbury and Whitstable are entitled to expect their prospective MPs to commit to certain standards before the next election", said Mr Voizey.
"Therefore, and in the light of the ongoing expenses scandal, I commit to the following in the event I am elected as Member of Parliament at the next election:
1 - I will not buy a second home using public money.
2 - I will not employ members of my immediate family using public money.
3 - I will not use public money to pay for my personal membership of any private members club or other organisation."
