Mike Sole selected for Barham Downs By-election

January 28, 2014 9:26 AM

Mike Sole has been selected to be the Liberal Democrat candidate in the forthcoming Barham Downs By-Election. Mike, 46, an accountant from Bridge, is a well known face in the ward having lived in Kingston for 10 years and is currently starring in the Kingsbourne Players' pantomime on this week in Barham Village Hall.

"I am delighted to be given the opportunity to stand again in this seat, in an area that I love and know well.", said Mike. "All too often the rural wards play second fiddle on the City Council - a Council that is fast getting a reputation for not listening to residents. That needs to change."

County Councillor Martin Vye said, "Mike has campaigned hard on many issues in the ward such as litter, speed restrictions and recycling. He will be a strong voice for Barham Downs"
